Nonprofit Boards, executive directors, and fundraisers are encouraged to value, promote and demonstrate diversity.  But why?  What’s the real driving force behind this diversity mandate and is it still relevant?  During this session, we will explore the diversity dilemma facing the nonprofit sector from an ethical perspective.

Questions we’ll consider:

  • Is there a moral imperative for diversity in the nonprofit fundraising world?
  • Are certain groups expected to “give” more because they “have” more?
  • What impact does the diversity of the board have on the diversity of income streams?
  • Does increased diversity result in decreased resources?

Charles Weathers captivates audiences with contagious energy, insight and humor. A nationally known speaker, author and consultant, he inspires individuals to face sometimes challenging realities and take charge of transforming their lives from the inside out.
