Session Description

Major giving and capital campaigns are critical to any organization’s sustainability; they’re also necessary to achieve long-term goals and a comprehensive vision.  This session will help the participant appreciate the components of a strong major gifts program that provides a large pool of prospective donors for a capital campaign.  Participants will also learn how to improve their chances of major gift and capital campaign success.

The session will begin with an overview on the state of major gifts, and why now is ideal to strengthen a major gifts program or launch a capital campaign.  We will discuss post-pandemic donor fatigue and how the stock market is impacting current giving.  Then, participants will learn the four basic benchmarks that make the foundation of any successful major gift program or capital campaign.
