JoAnn Turnquist, President & CEO of Central Carolina Community Foundation, will moderate a panel of area philanthropists. Through questions and conversation, JoAnn will uncover why donors do what they do and why they support what they support. We’ll also find out their stories, and what impacts their philanthropic decisions. As fundraisers, we’ll also learn what their expectations are before, during, and after their gifts are made. At the end of the discussion, we will permit enough time for audience questions. Join us for this spirited conversation about philanthropy.

Panelists include:

Lou Kennedy, President and CEO of Nephron Phamaceutical, serves on many boards, including Central Carolina Community Foundation and the University of South Carolina.

Drew Stevens, Financial Advisor at Northwestern Mutual and former President of United Way's Young Leaders Society.

Jane Kulbersh, community philanthropist, serves on Columbia Museum of Art, Palmetto Health Foundation, and Jewish Community Center boards.

Bhavna Vasudeva, community philanthropist, serves on the board of Central Carolina Community Foundation.

Rev. Solomon Jackson, current and founding pastor of Solomon's Temple, involved in various charities including State Museum, Palmetto Health, as well as many educational institutions including Midlands Tech.
